Bomberman 2 Review

Bomberman2nds portada.jpg

Story
A Bomberman named White Bomberman is framed for terrible crimes by Black Bomberman. After being accused of robbing a bank, White Bomberman is thrown in jail. Bomberman's mission is to escape his prison cell and bring Black Bomberman to justice.

Gameplay

The game follows the classic Bomberman formula: you are in a room full of blocks and enemies and Bomberman must plant bombs to destroy the blocks and enemies. Several blocks contain power-ups (such as blast radius increasers or fuse shorteners), and one in each level contains a door, which takes Bomberman to the next level.
Passwords are given after game over, recording the level, number of bombs, and strength of bombs. These passwords can be entered when the game starts allowing the player to continue where he left off.

999: Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors Review

999 nine nine nine.jpg

Story

Junpei, the player protagonist, wakes up inside a small locked room; his last memory was that of him being drugged to sleep by an unknown person in a gas mask. He finds that he has a bracelet with the number "5" on it and that he can not leave the room. He finds that he appears to be on a boat, and is forced to solve a puzzle to escape the room before it floods from a leaking window.
Escaping the lower decks, he encounters eight other people, each with their own bracelets with different digits on them. Junpei recognizes one of them, his old childhood friend Akane. As they find that the ship is no longer taking on water, they are greeted by their unseen host over a loudspeaker. The host, "Zero", informs them they are playing the "Nonary Game", which they can only escape by finding a door marked with a "9" before nine hours are up or else the ship will resume sinking. They learn of electronic devices called REDS and DEADS near each marked door that assure that only three to five people whose bracelet numbers total digital root equals the number on the door can pass through each door. Otherwise, a small bomb planted in each person's stomach will be detonated.
As the group assign themselves code names and plan their escape, the 9th man holds Clover hostage and forces the group to help him through one marked door. When he ventures alone through it, he is killed when the bomb in his stomach detonates. Knowing that the game is real, the group proceeds to explore the ship, splitting into groups as necessary. The player has the option to select which group to travel with and other decisions that ultimately affect the fate of the game. Depending on the choices made, Junpei learns of several strange stories that involve forms of morphic resonance communication between people and entities from those groups he travels with, as well as stories of a woman named Allice, an Egyptian priestess apparently frozen in ice-9 for centuries. Certain decisions may lead to a bad ending in which Junpei and others are killed before they can escape; the game allows the player to start again from the beginning with knowledge of these events to avoid them. This is required to access the "true" ending of the game.

Gameplay
Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors has two types of gameplay. Puzzles are placed behind the doors the characters enter, and the player must solve them to advance. This involves investigating each room, picking up tools, and using any notable items in the room. For example, a set of music scores is scattered about in inconvenient locations; when combined and played on a piano, they unlock a door. In the rest of the game, the player interacts with the other characters and make decisions that affect the story of the game. Different dialogue options can reveal different useful nuggets of information, and Junpei's choices of which doors to enter personally changes the information the player learns. Junpei or the other characters may die depending on what doors and dialogue choices the player makes. There are 6 endings in total, and the player's decisions change which ending occurs. Only one ending is the true ending, and one specific 'bad' ending must be achieved first in order to unlock the true ending.

Bangai-O Spirits Review

Bangai-O Spirits Coverart.png

Story
The two new pilots are called Masato (boy) and Ruri (girl). The campaign mode is limited to a brief set of tutorial stages.
Upon completing all of the stages under "Treasure's Best" in free mode, a brief cutscene will play, with one of the characters saying "We're only here because the fanboys would throw a fit on the internet if the game didn't have an ending."

Gameplay

Weapons

The player is able to choose two weapons from a list that includes various missiles, melee weapons, and a defensive shield.

EX Weapons

The player is also able to choose two EX weapons from a list of homing, napalm, rebound, break, direction, reflector, and freeze. The use of the EX Attack unleashes loads of missiles. More missiles will be fired the longer one charges the attack, and the closer one is to enemy projectiles. The exception is the freeze EX Attack, which "freezes" the screen, but this is still affected by the amount of projectiles en route to the player. The direction EX attack sends all of the attack at a single enemy, while the reflector EX attack reflects all the enemy fire.

Other abilities

Also added is the ability for the player to dash. While dashing the player moves forward faster than normal and is able to both damage and travel through enemies and scenery but cannot fire.
A new defensive skill is the ability to knockback enemies and objects. The bat, dash, and reflect EX are the only ways to knockback enemies. Enemies that are knockedback can knockback other enemies which could cascade into a very large and damaging "wave" of knockedback enemies.

Animal Crossing: Wild World Review

Animal-crossing-wild-world-20060323091032903.jpg

Story
It's Animal Crossing. Nothing too out of the blue. Move to a town inhabited by friendly anthros (it's not nearly as furry as it sounds). Work off the debt of your house (it's not nearly as boring or tedious as it sounds)!

Gameplay
Like all games in the Animal Crossing series, Wild World is an open-ended game in which the player assumes the role of a human child who has moved into a village populated with anthropomorphic animals. During his time spent in the village, the player is able to perform a number of various activities, such as collecting items, fish and insects, or socializing with the village's residents. The game is synchronized with the Nintendo DS clock and calendar, allowing the game to be played in real-time. For example, both daytime and night will occur in the village depending on the current hour, and snow will fall during the winter months. Different events occur at particular times of the year, such as holidays and the variation of collectible fauna depending on the month or season.

Music
Well, one of the advantages of this game is the music that is very fun and entertaining. Guaranteed will not regret playing it.

Advance Wars: Days of Ruin Review

Advance Wars 4 Cover.jpg

Story

Following the disaster, which obliterated much of the warring nations of Rubinelle and Lazuria, a young cadet from the Rubinelle military academy named Will escapes the ruins of the academy's mess hall and is confronted by The Beast, a former sergeant gone rogue who leads a small band of raiders. Will is rescued by Brenner and Lin of Rubinelle's 12th Battalion (nicknamed "Brenner's Wolves"), and takes on the group's cause of saving as many survivors of the meteor strikes as possible. During a search, Will discovers a mysterious amnesiac who does not remember her own name, but somehow knows detailed military information. Will later dubs her Isabella, and she becomes a vital part of the battalion as they put an end to the Beast's reign of terror.
One year after the meteor strikes, the 12th Battalion comes into contact with the New Rubinelle Army, and learns of the war raging between the Lazurian Army and the NRA. Brenner reluctantly sides with Greyfield, leader of the NRA, and advances on the Lazurian force, eventually defeating them at Fort Lazuria. Distraught by the ruthless execution of the Lazurian commander, Forsythe, Brenner and the 12th Battalion break the Lazurian prisoners out of an NRA internment camp before they can be executed. While the group escapes, Brenner stays behind and hides in an abandoned city to buy them some time. An infuriated Greyfield orders the use of a new weapon which completely destroys the city, killing Brenner and the NRA troops searching for him. Lin later leads a force against Greyfield, preventing the launch of a wave of deadly Caulder missiles and defeating the NRA once and for all. In the process, Lin personally shoots and kills Greyfield, avenging Brenner's death.

Gameplay
The objective in Days of Ruin is for the player to use their military force to defeat the enemy's force. Except for certain single player missions with special objectives, there are two ways to defeat an opponent: destroy all of the enemy's units or capture their headquarters. The battle system is turn-based. Two to four forces, each headed by a commanding officer (CO), take turns building and commanding units on grid-based maps. Every turn, units, which consist of ground, sea and air units, can move across the different types of terrain and attack enemy units or perform other actions, such as submerging a submarine or resupplying friendly units. Many factors can affect the battle, such as Fog of War, a phenomenon that prevents players from seeing enemy units other than those in the visual range of their units; various weather conditions; and CO powers.

Nintendo DS Review

Nintendo continues to impress game fanatics with their new releases. Now, they have released yet another great hand-held game console called Nintendo DS. The main feature of this console is the LCD screen, ordinary at the top & touch screen at the bottom. It also has other features like the built in microphone & Wi-Fi capability that allows the user to connect with other players within the range of 30 meters.

The buttons of Nintendo DS is arranged well to go with the traditional Tremendous Nintendo Betting Technique buttons. NDS also boasts with its stereo sound surround speakers that work depending on the program that you are using. As far as hand-held console is concerned, this is the first to feature stereo speakers & all its competitors only use earphones for audio.

There is also plenty of accessories that can by purchase to further enhance the performance of Nintendo DS like the plastic screen protector, personalized plastic or leather case, custom touch pens, & automobile charger. Using these accessories won't only help you enjoy your high-end game console but it will also increase the lifespan of your Nintendo DS unit.

Regrettably, this console is more focused on games for kids & kids at heart. Hardcore game fanatics may not see this console as the best because most of the games that can be played for this console are schooling & puzzle or issue solving, which boosts the natural skills of kids.

In case you need to know more about this game console, you can visit the official net site of Nintendo or the betting store near you. This is of the best gifts that you can give to your kids this Christmas. Why not try to make this season memorable for them by giving them of the best hand-held game consoles for kids.
