Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare (Nintendo DS) Coverart.png

Story
DS version of the game allows players to assume the role of some soldiers, who either are affiliated with the British SAS or the U. S. Marines (Captain MLBP). Unlike the console and PC versions of Call of Duty 4, players do not directly affect the outcome of the war. Instead of following the main antagonist of the overall plot (the Four Horsemen: Russia and its allies), a playable character in the DS version to participate in small missions, like escaping from a U.S. military base attacked by enemy forces, or rob two cargo ships in the Baltic Sea storm may bring nuclear materials. DS version focuses less on a major effort to end the conflict and more on the supporting role of a variety of other soldiers who played a part in the war. Players also can be a gunner on an AC-130 Spectre Gunship as well as the console version / regular computer Call of Duty 4.

Gameplay
As a first-person shooter, Modern Warfare puts the player in various military forces, focusing exclusively on the fighting. The game offers a variety of real world weapons and vehicles. The majority of missions are ground-level infantry combat, but there are some missions where the player mans the tower in a soldier, aircraft or Humvee.

Players look around and aim the weapon currently equipped with a touch screen. On foot, touch screen is also used to move and re-arms fire, switch to the grenade, and interact with the gaming world, is used to move the directional pad and shoulder buttons fire the firearm at the moment.

To take advantage of the unique features of the DS, this version includes several features touch screen, including the terminal hacking and bomb disarmament. Inventory control and overhead map and radar located on the touch screen. DS offers multi-local player through the built-in wireless, but does not offer online multiplayer for the center console and PC versions
