Story
Year is 1190 AD, and the Third Crusade hit the Holy Land. Crusaders clash with Saracens to control the Holy City, Jerusalem.
A young killer returned home to Aleppo from a difficult journey, and found attacked by the Templars. He has no choice but to repel this attack, killing a low-ranking captain in the process. Soon he was tasked by al-Mualim to find and retrieve the sacred object: the Chalice. It is said to have the power to unite under one banner all the factions of whatever has a side - either the Crusaders or the Saracens - and end the Third Crusade with the victory of one side or the other. But the cup is too strong an object that will be left in the hands of men alone: It must be found and destroyed.
Killer, Altair, began his journey in Damascus, where Rafik told him (after testing skills on the target.) That the traders, Tamir, has connections to the Templars. After interrogating Misbah, a man with connections to Tamir, Altair to face him and, before killing Tamir, learned that the Chalice is stored in the Temple of Sand and Altair which requires three keys to enter it. Altair then visit a circus dancer, Fajera, but he is not willing to help, leaving Altair to resist brute-circus, Badr. After the arrest, he gives Altair the first of three buttons, and said that a man in a hospital in Tyre Templar could help him find two more buttons. Fajera Altair is also the task of killing Templar named Alaat.
Gameplay
Assassins Creed: Altair's Chronicles takes advantage of the features of the Nintendo DS. The main gameplay game show format 3D platform puzzle game with hack slash-and third-person stealth fighter and maneuver are more limited. The touchscreen is used for mini-games, such as interrogation and pickpocketing, and ask questions during standard game play. Games combat system is mainly composed of weak attacks, strong attacks, blocks, and the combo of the three with the sword, while bombs and projectiles are made available in the gameplay later. Seven different weapons are available, including a hidden retractable blade, swords, arrows, bombs, explosives, smoke bombs, and throwing knives. The game also has three different difficulty levels, allowing for more experienced players to take a greater challenge. Unlike the console / PC version of Assassin's Creed, however, the game does not feature open-world gameplay or the form of free roaming.
